About the Photographer
I'm Davide. I picked up my first real camera a little over ten years ago, mostly as an excuse to slow down while traveling through Europe. It stuck. The camera comes along on every trip now, and this site is where the results end up.
Most of what you'll find here is landscape and travel work: the Scottish Highlands, the Corsican coast, back roads in Romania and Estonia, and a good stretch of the United States — both its cities and the wide-open country between them.
Over the last few years I've been shooting more and more in the street. Cities like Berlin and London are hard to resist: light cutting between buildings, strangers crossing paths for half a second, small scenes that disappear as quickly as they form. Nothing here is staged — if a photo looks like a moment, it was one.
Every so often I load a roll of film instead. Partly for the look, mostly because thirty-six frames force you to choose. Some of those rolls have their own gallery on this site.
Go where the light is good. Everything else is just settings.
